I wrote a journal about how I was uninterested in taking on projects that do not further my portfolio and career objectives. With the economy in the position that it's in, mediocre web design and development will not succeed.
I feel like I've hit a reset button on my knowledge towards web and design. There are so many awesome new technologies and content flying through our lives, it's mind-blowing.
I'm currently working on a project that really inspires me and I love to contribute my ideas and enhance the user experience.
On a personal level, I feel very lost in terms of what I want out of communication design. I'm very fascinated by the fact that a little screen powered by some computer chips has such an enormous impact on our lives. I thought to myself this morning, what if in 10 years from now, we aren't even using computers anymore? It would seem like a natural move to eliminate something that takes up so many resources. What if "websites" become useless and a new form of devouring knowledge came into play? The key once again is content.
Content is why facebook is what it is, along with myspace, twitter, flickr, friendster, etc. The design and technology has little to do with the fact that they're portals for millions of people to express their lives. Content is why Wordpress was made to give people a kick-ass experience with blogging. Content is why we have youtube to show other our own movies.
As Gary Vaynerchuck stated "TV and the radio aren't in power anymore" the internet lends itself to everyone having an equal opportunity to throw a dent in the world.
These are some thoughts I'm playing around with. Today I've spent some time reading blogs and seeing what else I'm missing out on and I want to keep more in-touch with new technologies and stay ahead of the game.
I also really love film and motion graphics which to me has not changed a lot in the last 60 years. Of course now there is all kinds of crazy special effects but the general principal is the same. It will be interesting to see the upcoming evolution of movies.
Cheers.

It's 2010 and it's time to start rocking!
Hello Everyone,
As some of you may know, I've been really busy with a new project I started http://www.mographtv.com. Mograph TV is my playground for the world of motion. Right now I mainly share awesome videos and write about areas of film that I'm interested in. If you have any interest in Motion or just love beautiful short films, drop on by!
I've been taking some steps towards growing as a designer but it needs to go much further! I have a few things planned but I won't go into details, actions speak louder than words ;).
2010 is going to be epic,
Cheers.
Experimentation
I've been experimenting with a lot of different fonts and colours lately, I'm sure you'll see it in pieces to comes. The work-flow has come through how I approach mixing music. I find that I'm always insanely thirsty for digging up tunes and seeing what I can create with them.
Cheers.
Flight 107 has lift off!
I'm happy to announce that I've submitted Flight 107.

I started it last Monday with my friend Dave and it was a real blast to create.
I'm feeling more momentum lately so I want to keep it up and keep pushing myself! Everything is going great with Tungle (my job), we're working towards simplifying and enhancing our user experience.
Montreal is blooming again! I enjoyed walking down Mont Royal seeing several artists paint the streets and sell stuff. Really nice calm weather warm weather that enhances vibe.
For today, I want to do art, learn more french and have some drinks,
Cheers.
I just got accepted to behance.net and I'm moving.
My link is: http://www.behance.net/bollenbach, I haven't uploaded anything yet but I'm working on a new vector piece which I'll upload. I'm feeling lazy today, I really want to get rocking on this piece (Resistance 2 is distracting).
I'm laying out some plans for the next 6 months. I want to focus most of my time into graphic design and motion. I'm very fascinated by the fields of Broadcasting and Flash design.
Things are going really great at work http://www.tungle.com, we'll be officially releasing our facebook app soon so that's exciting.
I'm also moving next month to a new apartment with my roommates. We decided on a place that's just
